Don’t do it! A Monday rant!!

I really like meeting new people, especially on Twitter.  I love the medium and the variety of humanity that I pass, meet or miss. What is really beginning to irritate me is the use of automated Direct Messages.  The ones that say

“Hi thanks for the follow… please buy my XXXX at http://www.etc” or “Hi thanks for the follow… sent by xxxxxxx.prog”

Please don’t do this.  If you want to say thank you, then say it yourself, not via a programme or as a sales mechanism.

No doubt I’ll lose followers over this… you know what?  I don’t know that I care.
