About

A woman of a certain age, my life has encompassed being married, being divorced and now being a single mum of a grown up boy who still lives at home.  Resident in the south of England, it’s not my spiritual home, but it will do for the moment.

I am an ikebana artist.  I am a student of the Ohara School of Ikebana and currently I am a Second Master.  It has taken me 15 years to get to this point and I have derived a great deal of pleasure from my work.  When you reach 4th Master, you are granted an honorific name by the School.  My name is Homi which means Abundant Success.

I can be found on Twitter as @whithernow

There I do poetry, try not to be a smart a*se (frequently fail at that) and take part in #fp (Friday Phrases) which you should really check out as it is great fun!

  1. I never knew someone who attended a school exclusively for the arrangement and aesthetics of organizing flowers and plants for the environment. I’m glad you get such pleasure from this type of art.
